Celebrated director Selvaraghavan comes up with this high end fantasy love story which gives you a completely different film viewing experience, giving you a feel of a Hollywood fantasy film. With no more "extra value" in songs or so, the problem with the film lies in two things: Few scenes that are a bit draggy and even the slow pace with the second half. The film scores well because of it's brilliant visual effects work by which will give you a "bigger than life" feeling reminding of films like "Hobbit" and "Lord of The Rings", then comes the cinematography by Ramji who captures the best of the moments brilliantly, the music score by Harris Jayaraj which is foot tapping and even the performances by the lead Arya and Anoushka where the former repeats his excellence after films like "Raja Rani" and "Aarrambam" this year. The film 's screenplay (Selva) somewhere loses its grip in between. But overall, though you wont be able to see the simplicity of the director's earlier films like "7G Rainbow Colony" and "Mayakkam Enna", this film will indeed take you for a ride into a different world with some riveting moments, though some extra brains would be required within it's course.
My rating would be: 3. 5/ 5.
