Besharam (Hindi): Indeed a much better film than the director's previous venture "Dabangg", the film was exactly the way what I said while sharing it's theatrical trailer few months back: a touch of surrealism, but promising. After the 2010 Grosser "Dabangg", director Abhinav Singh Kashyap returns with a Bang with the film which is light, warm and well loaded with beautiful moments, which might has the story structure like "Dabangg", but the film's narration (Kashyap and Rajeev Barnwal) is original and entertaining, despite few loopholes in between. The film has great dialogues and the moments which will make you smile and even cry (at few moments) with it's every frame. Wasiq Khan continues his brilliance of his great production designing work. The cinematography by Madhu Vannier is good and he captures the Delhi and Chandigarh locales well. The music score by Lalit Pandit might not be as great as his previous venture, but he manages well to make the volume pump up. The BGM is great. Now performances wise, the newbie Pallavi Sharda shows a great promise and has a long way to go. Himani Shivpuri, Javed Jafferi and Amitosh Nagpal do justice to their respective roles. The chemistry between Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh Kapoor is brilliant and no words to describe their riveting performance. Ranbeer Kapoor succeeds in his experimentation of doing a Mass Entertainer with his show stealing performance and he walks away with a standing ovation by his moments which will maintain a smile on your face, which has the shades of films like "Rockstar" and "Barfi". Overall, a good "Mass" Entertainer and a perfect weekend venture. My rating would be: 3.5/5.
